In the care and support of Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Culture, the experimental theater of China National Peking Opera Company (CNPOC), Chang He Yuan (CHY) reopened in 2008. The theater is located in the official building’s 8th floor of CNPOC, which is a set of multi-functional space with rehearsals, performances and conference. Over the past three years, since CNPOC moved into its new location, the experimental theater has played an important role in artistic producing and in cultivating and training young actors. In the support of Ministry of Finance, CNOPC reconstructed and redecorated since the end of 2007.
After the reconstructing, the experimental theatre is renamed as Chang He Yuan (CHY), which has not only Chinese traditional garden’s architectural classical style, but also modern theater’s feature. Besides 475㎡ and 216 seats, it has world-class facility. CHY reopened at 2008, as Olympic Games hold in Beijing, so it is dominated as the visiting venue for International Olympic Committee officials by Beijing Olympic Organizing Committee. CHY has been colorful scenery for Beijing Olympic Culture.
